There's shade, beer, food & friends ... and to top it all, GREAT music ... Chicago Blues festival ... and in fact all music festivals in Chicago [like Gospel, Country, Blues, Jazz festivals] ... are free admission ... There's no opulent stage decorations but the music is always top-notch, with local and national artists performing ... Also the street festivals [with valid permit] are exempt from noise ordinance, this means loud music ... and you dont have to be close to the theater to enjoy ... The event is held in the huge sprawling Grant Park ... so relax anywhere and enjoy the music ... There are six stages, but the park is so huge that there's no noise leak from one stage to another, despite the loud music ...
